Flatline RP ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Flatline RP website, dashboard, and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account information. When you register, we collect your display name, email address, and a hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google according to your Google account settings.

Authentication data. If you enable passkeys or two-factor authentication, we store the cryptographic data needed to verify those methods. We do not store your raw TOTP secret in a recoverable form beyond what is required to verify codes.

Gameplay and profile data. We store character, progression, and community-related data connected to your account as you use the roleplay platform.

Technical data. We automatically collect session identifiers, device and browser information, IP address, and logs needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the Service.

Communications. If you contact us or receive transactional email (verification, password reset, security notices), we process the information in those messages.

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you
• Provide access to the dashboard, web app, and mobile app
• Send transactional email such as verification and password reset messages
• Maintain game progress, characters, and community features
• Protect the Service against fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
• Improve reliability, performance, and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

We use trusted providers to operate the Service, including:

• Google — optional sign-in through Google OAuth
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Cloud infrastructure providers — hosting, databases, and session storage

These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies and applicable agreements. When you use Google Sign-In, Google's privacy policy also applies to information handled by Google.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember security preferences, and protect accounts. Session cookies are essential to the Service. You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings, but some features may not work without them.

We retain account and gameplay data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain information for legal, security, or backup purposes.

• Enable or disable two-factor authentication and passkeys
• Request deletion of your account through account settings

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Service is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
